SilverMoon Cruise Blog
I think like any other child or adult we all have a fascination with ‘ The Moon, we  make wishes, promises, dreams and if you are  like me talk to the man in the moon.  I really look forward to seeing a new moon and how it grows and forms and becomes a spectacle to the eye.

My dream as a child was one day to step onto the moon  and yes it happened on 17th August 2021.

My anticipation, nervousness was soon forgotten when I locked eyes at it, taking those few short steps onto the moon, The Silver Moon yes perfectly made by SilverSeas.

Her beauty and stillness were  amazing and I’m sure she was as excited to get sailing as we were, she wanted to welcome us all, hear laughter and life as everything had been so quiet with Covid, we boarded as passengers but left as friends.

Our journey together was to Syros, Paros and Patmos, all beautiful islands and not forgetting the sunsets.
Silver Moon holds 596 passengers and is proud to be first in the Silversea fleet in the SALT programme to bring culture and connections to passengers – she has 8 decks.

All suites are beautifully finished and come with butler service, champagne on arrival, fridge and bar stocked with your own choice of drinks, pillow menu, plush bathrobes, free WIFI, luxury bath amenities and wall mounted USB-C mobile device charges.
What I loved about the drinks and food was the variation and choice, you can dine in a different restaurant every night from Hot Rocks on deck 10 pool deck area, where you cook your own food on hot stones to Atantid, La Terrazza, Kaiseki, Silver Note, Salt Kitchen where no supplement applies, small supplement for La Dame, the best of wines, champagne, spirits were on offer to everyone.
For an extra special night your butler can organise dinner on your balcony from one of the restaurants.
Entertainment – there was a show in the theatre every night which lasted over an hour and then different styles of music in lounge bars, great jazz music in the Silver Note and of course dancing under the stars in Panorama Lounge.
Every day choice of two excursions , sessions for yoga, acupuncture, pilates, golf putting challenge and so much more or just relax on deck 10 by the pool and watch the world go by.

I found the Silver Moon to be one of the most relaxed cruises I have ever taken. I loved that two people can dine in the same restaurant but order from two different restaurants. This, I think works brilliantly and gives everyone what they want.  Staff are  extremely attentive when needed and in the background at other times.

Sailing during Covid times is different, PCR/Antigen tests and Locator forms are required but once you are on board it is well worth it and I definitely left the Moon as a friend who will return.
